Music is dead

Our super star Jack Rosso died .How? His car fell off a cliff. We think that he drank alcohol, we remember that he took drugs too.
He was a super star of the music business.
The police found his car in the lake. He wasn’t alone, he was with a girl of fifteen years of age, apparently the car skidded and fell.
The girl died, we think that he died too, but nobody found his body. We must have in mind the consequences of drugs. Now we must remember him and his music in our hearts.

A big secret

In 1999, a man called Jake Rosso, the famous singer in England, killed a girl in a car accident.
Jake Rosso was taking drugs and he was drinking a lot of alcohol. That night he was driving his car and he hit somebody – a young girl, and she died. This girl was fifteen years old,she was too young to die.
After the accident he drove on in his car, didn’t stop and didn’t tell the police.Jake decided that his real name had to die so he made a plan, changed his name to Mr. Ross and he and his family went to live on an island. Jake o Mr. Ross didn’t tell this story up to the moment one girl colled Carol Sanders discovered his secret, and now he wanted to tell all the people to know that Jake Rosso is alive.

Jake Rosso has died

Yesterday afternoon at 3 p.m., the famous singer Jake Rosso died in a terrible accident. His car fell from a cliff and it sank in the sea. The police found inside the car his guitar, some clothes but unfortunately not the body.
Many people say that he had some problems with the engine, others say that the people who didn’t like his music made a trap. All these comments aren’t true. They’re just people’s thoughts. The case is going to be solved and we are going to make justice for this unforgettable musician. This legend of music will be always remembered.

Rosso`s mysterious death

The famous pop star Jake Rosso died in a car accident in the route 66 last monday night. The police couldn`t find the body but the car was identified, and some clothes and two of his guitar were in the vehicle.
After Jake Rosso went out dancing, he took his car and he drove it across the route 66, in USA. TAJ MAHAL

Location

It’s in Agra city, India, near the Yamuna River.

Construction and characteristics

It was built between 1631 and 1654. 20.000 workers made this palace; it took 22 years and 40 millions of rupiahs.
The Taj Mahal is considered the most beautiful example of Mogole architecture which combines the Islamic, Persian, Indian and Turkish style.
The use of marble calls the attention more than other elements and it makes the sun reflect different colors.

Cultural significance

The idea of this palace came from the Muslim emperor Sha Jahan who wanted to build it in memory of his dearest wife Mumtaz Mahal who died during the childbirth of his 14th son. The legend says that when she died she told him to build a monument which symbolizes the beauty of her love.
After his wife’s death, the emperor was sunken by the sadness. He was defeated by his sons who shut him in a tower for 8 years where he could see the Taj Mahal and remember his wife.

We choose this wonder because its history is very romantic and the quantity of time to build it and architecture are really interesting.
The principal cities are Rio de Janeiro, Sao Pablo, Brasilia and Porto Alegre. Porto Alegre is a city and port of the Southeastern of Brazil, State Capital of River Grande do Sul. Porto Alegre is located in the coast of the Lagoa two Ducks, a cove of the Atlantic Ocean, in the confluence of five rivers. It is the main commercial center from Brazil to the south of São Pablo.
Rio de Janeiro is a city located in the south east of Brazil, in the Atlantic coast. It is the second bigger city of Brazil, and it has a great seaport.
São Paulo is a city of the South east of Brazil, it is the most important of country and one of the largest cities of South America, more than 10 million inhabitants live here.
Brasilia is the capital of Brazil. It's located in the federal district, in the central south of Brazil, the city is located in a semi desert region and it has a dry climate.
Brazilians are a great mixture of races that includes natives, European, and African, with a minority of Asian descendants. The official language is Portuguese and it is spoken by all the population. They also speak indigenous languages.
The vegetation in Brazil is very ample. Particulary in the Amazon. Hundreds of species of plants abound in this region. Maderables and fruit palms and trees also grow in that zone. Life animal is varied. It includes pumas, jaguars, armadillos, monkeys and many other species. There are many varieties of birds too and reptiles include many species of snakes. In the lakes and rivers of Brazil different varieties of fish and turtles abound.
Brazil is a Constitutional Republic, with 26 federal districts. The 26 states have their own popular elections, legislatures and governments.

Taj Mahal

One of the seven wonders of the modern world.
The Taj Mahal is regarded as the most perfect jewel of Muslim art in India. This huge mausoleum mosque was built by Saha Jahan, the fifth Muslim Mogul emperor, in memory of his beloved wife, a Persian princess born as Arijuman Bano Begum but known as Mumtaz Mahal. She was a significant influence in his life and in his policies, but died at the age of thirty-nine while giving birth to their fourteenth child in 1631. The ruler went into deep mourning. Her last wish to her husband was “to build a tomb in her memory such as the world had never seen before.” So Shah Jahan set about building this fairytale-like marvel of white marble, surrounded by formally laid-out walled gardens. The emperor, later buried in the Taj, was overthrown by his son and imprisoned in the nearby Great Red Fort for eight year, from which, it is said, he could see the Taj Mahal out of his small cell window.
The origin of the name “Taj Mahal” is not clear. Court histories from Shah Jehan’s reign only call it the rauza (tomb) of Mumtaz Mahal. It is generally believed that “Taj Mahal” (usually translated “Crown Palace” or “Crown of the Palace”) is an abbreviated version of her name.
The Taj Mahal was built between 1631 and 1648, with some 20.000 workmen employed on it daily, who lived in a specially built small town next to it called “ Mumtazabad” for the dead empress, now known as Taj Ganj. The material was bought in from all over India and central Asia with the help of 1.000 elephants. The central dome is 57 meters, or 187 feet, high in the middle. A total of 28 beautiful stones were used: red sandstone was brought from Fatehpur Sikri, jasper from Punjab, jade and crystal from China, turquoise from Tibet, lapis lazuli and sapphire from Sri Lanka, coal and cornelian from Arabia and diamonds from Panna. The luminescent white marble was brought from far-off Makrana, Rajasthan. Nearly every surface of the entire complex has been decorated, and the exterior decorations are among the finest to be found in Mughal architecture of any period.
Unlike other Mughal tombs, the Taj Mahal gardens are all in front of the tomb and do not play any part in the background. Instead, the background is the sky. Since the tomb is set against a plain across a river, this background of eternal sky works its magic of colors that, through their reflection, subtly reflect on the white marble surface of Taj Mahal, always changing its color and complexion. The composition of the forms and lines of the Taj Mahal is perfectly symmetrical. The colossal height of the tomb, along with its pyramidal appearance, fill it with grace and make it seem to float or soar.
We choose the Taj Mahal because we like Indian’s constructions, and if you see the Taj Mahal we are sure that you will love it.

A journey to Central America

On the 2nd of June we went to Central America to do a mini-tour of Jamaica, Cuba and Caiman Islands.
We travelled by plane from Argentina to Jamaica, the island of reggae. We stayed there for two days. The weather was tropical, humid and mild. The people received us with their typical dance called “mento”. The most amazing thing was the beaches of white sand and green waters.
Then we went to Cuba by boat. The view and the weather were very similar to Jamaica. We visited the capital, La Habana, where we had dinner in a restaurant. There was a dance contest of cha-cha-cha, conga and mambo and we took part in it. We didn’t win, but we had a good time.
The next day we went to the Caiman Islands by jetski and we stayed in the Gran Caiman, which is the island of the capital: Georgetown. We dived into its warm waters and we could see marine turtles, coral beds and different kinds of fish.
Our journey finished on June the 7th and the experience was wonderful and unforgettable.

Zoe

Dear Zoe:
Thanks for your e-mail. Mars is a very exotic planet. The people are orange and violet.
When we arrived, they stopped their activities and looked scared.
In the journey on the space ship, there was a meteorite rain. It was very dangerous and our ship was damaged. In fact we were going to the moon but
they made us stop in Mars. This was an amazing experience.

Kisses, Tommy.

Esteban

April 17th.

Dear Esteban:
I arrived this morning at 4am. The journey took two minutes because I made a machine that travels and it can go back to the past.
First I pushed a button and I stopped in 1970.
The women were wearing mini-skirts and the men were wearing jeans. In general they had clothes with a lot of colours.
When I wanted to return, the machine broke down. I was lost in time and now I need your help to go back home.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!
THANKS…

Florencio Varela.

Tuesday 17th April
Dear Mum:
I’m writing you to tell you about my crazy journey. I arrived in Miami at two o’clock because the plane had a delay. On the plane I had to sit next to a woman with a baby and behind me were her two sons. The baby couldn’t stop crying and I couldn’t sleep! And the children started to bother me. So I asked the airhostess if I could change my place. When the plane arrived in Miami, at the airport I met with my best friend Luca, I hadn’t seen him for four years. We went to a nice restaurant and we ate a lot of fish. The restaurant was in front of the beach. When we left the restaurant, a street dog bit my leg!
I spent one month in Miami with Luca. We made a lot of things. Now I am going back to Buenos Aires.
I’m taking a lot of presents for my family.

See you soon,

Pepita J.

Diegoland

Friday 30th June

Dear Pepe:
Now, I’m in Diegolandia. To travel here, I had to take a bus, it was very crazy. It was a special bus because, when we had to cross the Atlantic Ocean, it turned into a submarine.
Inside the bus there was a man called Mauro who had a little monkey. The monkey danced and Mauro asked for money. Later I started to talk with Mauro, he said that he wanted to be my friend. We went together to Diegolandia.
When we arrived the place was really great and fun. But be careful… here the people are crazy and they steal you. There is a famous thief called Matias and his nickname is “El Uru”.

We hope to see you soon.
Juan and Mauro

Buenos Aires Monday 16th July

Dear Mary:
Thanks for your letter. Yesterday I arrived in Buenos Aires. It’s different to London but it is beautiful. I travelled by plane for 13 hours. I am very tired.
Buenos Aires is really big. Yesterday I could visit two places. In the morning I went to Puerto Madero and I saw the ships. In the night I went to the floating Casino and I lost some money but it was fun.
Now I’m trying to get a job. It’s not very easy.

See you soon!
